Brief:
Create a promotional animation for Pick n Pay's Springbok Rugby fidget spinner collection, using supplied artwork and storyboard frames. The animation needed to introduce the products, demonstrate their functionality and showcase the complete collectable range.
Solution:
Modelled the fidget spinners from scratch using product reference images, developing a consistent range of 15 player characters and a coach. Supplied character artwork was translated into UV-mapped textures for each model, preserving the individual player designs across the collection.
Working from the supplied storyboard, I developed the camera movements and 3D animation to demonstrate the spinning mechanism and bring the collection together within a rugby stadium environment.
Result:
A completed promotional animation for social media and in-store displays, combining product demonstration, campaign branding and a showcase of the full collectable range.
